Discovered among a collection of gnostic writings at Nag Hammadi in Egypt in 1945, the Gospel of Thomas is the most significant and authentic piece of early Christian writing outside of the New Testament. It contains sayings and parables of Jesus that are not found in other gospels, along with more original and more esoteric versions of the well known sayings of Jesus.
The Gospel of Thomas illuminates another perspective in the way to see things and to bring about a transformation in our lives. Thomas uses symbols and images to communicate this wonderful insight and and proclaims that if we find the inner meaning of these sayings, we shall not taste death.
Throughout the Gospel of Thomas, wrapped within its parables and dialogues, it pictures humanity as being lost and blind. People are ignorant of the truth, blind and drunk, staggering through the darkness. Humanity is a house divided, dead and drained of vital spiritual sustenance. Thomas teaches the truth that the can truly live. We can achieve enlightenment and thereby see and hear. We will be intoxicated with love and compassion and through knowing the truth we will be enlightened. We will finally understand our DivineUnity and thereby dwell within the Kingdom of the Lord forever and ever.
Why are the resources of Serving New Thought so popular?
1. All of our resources are provided on a tithing/donation basis. This means we rely on you, the visitor to send in donations when you find our resources useful to your Spiritual Journey. This stands in contrast to the resources behind firewalls with hefty charges for access. You can even observe that in contrast to Charles Fillmore's practice of placing books and resources in the Public Domain, the majority of New Thought Denominations are no longer following this important cornerstone of his work. We do!
2. We work hard on our resources to insure they are comprehensive and useful listening to your feedback.
3. We care about you, the seeker of Wisdom and we work with those New Thought Sharers who are compassionate and want to assist you on your journey.
